DFI has officially cooperated with Canonical, the publisher of the Ubuntu operating system, and signed the IoT Hardware Certification Partner Program. This will guarantee that Ubuntu and Ubuntu Core, a modern, safe, and reliable IoT operating system designed for IoT devices deployed in production environment, can run optimally on the platform continually up to 10 years. It provides over-the-air, transactional software updates through a cloud-based CI/CD (Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment) service, ensuring that operations remain safe and uninterrupted. Adopting Ubuntu Core will increase security and stability of the operating system and applications, and bring flexibility and low cost of Edge Micro Clouds to any business.
