Powered by Energy-efficient Platforms

The VC900-M8M is an automotive cybersecurity solution for vehicle telematics in the smart transportation industry. It’s powered by NXP's ARM-based i.MX 8M applications processor, providing high performance and low power consumption, as part of NXP's EdgeVerse™ edge computing platform. The i.MX 8M features industry-leading multimedia processing with four 1.5GHz Arm Cortex-A53 and Cortex-M4 cores. The VC900-M8M runs on Yocto Linux 2.5 and Android 9.0 operating systems, making it suitable for a wide range of in-vehicle applications.

xCarbon Solution to Enhance Automotive Cyber Protection

As automotive cybersecurity has gradually turned into a global focus, Europe announced UN R155, the world’s first mandatory regulation for automotive cybersecurity. It is foreseeable that in the near future, vehicle cybersecurity will become a “must-have” for the automotive industry. VC900-M8M implements VicOne’s automotive cybersecurity solution, xCarbon, a zero-friction automotive intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS) specifically designed for vehicle systems. By combining technologies such as machine learning (ML) to create tools such as smart sensor modules and virtual patch programs, xCarbon provides cybersecurity solutions for in-vehicle electronic control components (ECU) in a way that consumes the least amount of resources. It is suitable for different automotive electrical and electronic architectures (EEA).

Driver Behavior detection for Advanced Safety

Diverse communication interfaces are delivered, including 1GbE, 4 COM, 1 CAN Bus, 2 USB 3.1 Gen 1, and 1 micro USB (OTG) ports to accommodate various functions. A built-in IMU (inertial measurement unit) sensor measures and reports driver behavior such as speeding, harsh braking, and impact detection. The triple core, 6-axis sensor is equipped with 3 accelerometers and 3 gyroscopes for high accuracy. The 6-axis sensor allows fleet managers to manage driving behavior and provide enhanced safety. This system is unique as it supports 5G connections and enhanced cybersecurity protection from xCarbon's Frictionless Intrusion Detection and Prevention System. The VC900-M8M also complies with MIL-STD certification standards.

High Reliability with Ultra Wide Voltage Support

Featuring a wide input voltage range of 9-36V, power surge prevention is ensured for the VC900-M8M. Additional power safety features and easy power management include smart ignition power controls with power delay and protection time settings and battery voltage monitoring.

Durability and Consistency with Wide Operating Temperature Range

The VC900-M8M is built to endure a wide temperature range of -20°C~70°C. Its rugged, fanless design allows it to operate effectively under tough environmental conditions unique to moving vehicles.

Military Class Compliance With Exceptional Quality

The VC900-M8M complies with E-Mark and MIL-STD certification standards, having undergone rigorous testing to prove it meets safety and environmental requirements.
